Reading Garden

We’ve been keeping a secret.

And she’s a little bitty pretty one.

We’ve got big dreams for our community.
And this is one we’re so excited about.

The Friends of Aberdeen Library were hard at work this morning clearing our lot on Pine Street.

Our vision is to clear this lot and make way for a beautiful reading garden for all to enjoy.

The weather was perfect and the company was even better.

We made some headway today. But we will definitely need a few more weekends to get this space ready for you.

If you’re interested in volunteering, we’d sure appreciate the extra hands.

Shoot us a DM and we’ll give you all the details.

We are so grateful to our members & volunteers & local business owners @highoctanegirls that came out and literally shed their blood, sweat, and maybe some tears.

Those vines were no joke.

If you see them out and about be sure to thank them for us. Our appreciation is bigger than our debris pile.

Which was 5 foot high x 25 foot long.

What would you like to see in an outdoor reading garden?

Leave your comments and ideas below. We’ve got a blank canvas.
