“If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.”

— Marcus Tullius Cicero

We are building a new library to serve the Aberdeen community for decades to come.

Built over 100 years ago, Aberdeen’s current library is the second oldest continuous-use library in North Carolina - but times are changing, and it isn’t serving the growing needs of this town we call home.

Since 2014, our organization has been leading the effort to build a new library for the people of southern Moore County. Last year, we were given permission to renovate the building at 123 Exchange Street and turn a nearby lot into a reading garden. The current library will then be turned into a museum with town archives.

We’ve made so much progress over the last few years, but much of our effort will rely on the generosity of the community. Help us create a hub for literacy that will serve the community for the next century.

Here’s how you can help.
